Ola has received recognition for her research in researching methods to stimulate the regenerative potential of myelin in the central nervous system. The scholarships were awarded at a gala on November 14, attended by notable figures such as Professor Michał Markuszewski, Vice-Rector for Science, and Professor Karaszewski, Head of the Neurology Clinic and Brain Diseases Centre of the MUG. The awards are granted by an esteemed independent jury led by Professor Ewa Łojkowska from the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology at the University of Gdańsk and MUG.
During the gala Ola was one of the panelist disussing diversity and women in sience.
The L’Oréal-UNESCO Program for Women in Science, in collaboration with the Polish Committee for UNESCO, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the UN Global Compact Network Poland, has been active in Poland since 2001.
The primary goal of the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science program is to celebrate the scientific achievements of exceptionally talented female researchers, motivate them to persist in their scientific endeavors, and provide crucial financial support.
