An intensive week for the 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐑𝐔𝐏𝐓-𝐌𝐒 team has just ended.

Florian Kurschus and Swayanka Biswas, with whom we share the joint NCN National Science Centre – Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) – German Research Foundation grant, visited us in Gdańsk. Our project is on the mechanisms involved in EBV-induced MS and what makes certain individuals vulnerable to developing MS after EBV infection. We aim to answer this using complex models requiring both immunology and neuroscience input.

Big thanks to Małgorzata Dąbrowska and Piotr Pobiarzyn, the core Polish DISRUPT-MS team, as well as Klaudia Konieczna – Wolska, 𝐘𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐮 and Fatimah Zahra for joining discussions throughout the week. Lots of deep immunology discussions, well done neuroscience guys!
