Another funding success for the lab! 🎉

Ola, together with Dr Gabriela Brzuska from the University of Gdańsk and Dr Mateusz Daśko from Gdańsk University of Technology, has received funding in the first edition of the Fahrenheit Synergy Programme, a joint initiative of the Fahrenheit Universities and the investGDA Foundation.

Their project, “Inhibitors of key non-structural proteins of tick-borne encephalitis virus as potential antiviral drugs,” brings together complementary expertise from all three Fahrenheit Universities to explore new therapeutic strategies against tick-borne encephalitis virus.

The programme was highly competitive: 41 projects were submitted and only four selected for funding, with grants of up to PLN 750,000.

A great example of what can happen when expertise from GUMed, Gdańsk University of Technology and the University of Gdańsk comes together around one scientific challenge.
